Backcountry Invaders….Why Should I Care? (Wyoming Invasive Weed Awareness Week event)

May 14, 2014 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

FREE

Join us at The ATTIC on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  The NCWP will have FREE food, Free plant i.d. books, and a Cash bar!!  The focus of this presentation will be how everyone can help protect our native ecosystems from the negative impacts caused by invasive species.  By learning to identify invasive species, you become another resource  to help us locate these invaders and implement control programs and curb their impact on native vegetation and wildlife.  The NCWP will give two brief presentations, followed by casual discussions with the audience.  We will also be explaining the rules and details about this summer’s “Most Remote Invasive Weed Contest” !!  If you plan on enjoying the outdoors this summer, we hope you’ll participate in this contest!!  Again, full details will be available at the May 14th event.   wiwa14 poster
